Publisher Information

Roaring Brook Press

(Imprint of Macmillan)

ROARING BROOK PRESS is a creative, innovative publisher of books for children of all ages, from toddlers to teens. Since we began in 2002, our publishing program has been shaped by two groups of people. First, we are centered around our authors and illustators. From familiar names to new voices, we are a home for talented and distinctive writers and artists. Our second focus is our readers. Roaring Brook books entertain and educate, satisfy and surprise child readers, ultimately enriching their lives. We have grown since 2002. Our books, from picture books to young adult novels, from fiction to nonfiction, have won major awards and been recognized by librarians, teachers, reviewers, and retailers. Our imprints include First Second Books, which publishes graphic novels, Flash Point, which publishes original and inspiring nonfiction, and David Macaulay Studio, which will launch in 2011. And still we are defined by the visions and voices of our authors and illustrators, publishing books that are distinguished, lasting and useful to our readers.

Specifically interested in books with these subjects or themes: picture books, fiction (including graphic novels - comics) and non-fiction for young readers, from toddler to teen
