I have a hand hang up too, but I think you did a great job. It's difficult to create cartoon type hands if you are more of a realistic style artist. Takes practice. Nice idea for the illustration and nicely done.

Ahhh! The Nun! - I had a great aunt who was a nun- she was a tough ol' broad. When I was 10- I used to cut thru the catholic school parking lot to get to my public school. It was a windy day. The Nuns' habits blew up- I saw their nunderwear. I was scarred for life. -I saw "Doubt" Meryl Streep was so real- she scared the poo outta me. But your Nun- I like- she looks groovy!

Dear Emily Rabbit,

This is Lololo. Emma doesn't use the computer. Although I think she's the smartest dog on the planet, she doesn't type and she doesn't need to try to earn money for her favorite things.
If I did have a fan club I believe Emma would be my only member because she follows me loyally ;)
She does not follow my blog however. Remember, she doesn't use the computer.

I'm afraid Mim may be right. Emma might want a piece of you. Please be careful if you ever meet her. I'd hate for anything to happen to that cute fluffy tail of yours!

Really like the patterns involved in this...I know that may seem strange but I often like the accent detail work that occurs in such a manner that it adds to but doesn't overtake the work...

On good days I say Greta is tenacious. On bad days, it's feels more like "relentless".

She does like other people besides me-that's a big deal in a formerly abused dog, but I am her person and she makes no bones about it. I wish everyone could experience such unwavering devotion.

4. Illustration Friday: hierarchy

Because of her place in the hierarchy, the King awarded the Princess her own castle. This layered dimensional painting was done for the Walker family in Washington. They commissioned 2 paintings, one for each daughter and this was for Amira. She loves lambs, butterflies, hearts, flowers, birds, etc. Also they wanted an image to represent the meaning of her name.
The girl's name Amira \a-mi-ra\ is pronounced ah-MEER-ah. It is of Arabic and Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "princess. Feminine form of Amir. My submission for Illustration Friday's "hierarchy" theme.

This is far more beautiful than any castle! Really perfect for Amira. It is fully lighted and has a warm welcoming feeling. And it has given me an idea. The lamb can also become a marble garden table.
