Hi Jan,
Glad to have you as my friend! I am still getting familiar with the site, but am enjoying 'looking around.'
Comment by Jan Godown Annino on 1/3/2009 at 6:05 AM:
Thanks for your thoughtfulness in the offline note, too. Yup, a creative way to say the Island of Manhattan & ditto, same refers to all the boroughs.
The Lincoln Center site you mention & the one in the Bronx are each, lovely.

Thanks for the welcome, Jan! And I'll be just an hour and a half away once I actually make the move. By the way, love the "ghost hair" reference!

Italian is a tricky language to learn! :-)
Thank you for the suggestion JG, I will surely take a look at the website. It would be wonderful - and I would be honoured - to give a talk about Italian children's literature! Marta

Hi JG! Thanks for the comment! Yes, we are very fortunate to have Jodee Blanco as an advisor/judge. As a writer, you couldn't have a better mentor. Keep writing!
Comment by Angel Domínguez on 2/29/2008 at 6:06 AM:
Dear J.G.

Your Spanish-English is funny, I understand it very well and as we share our love for sea creatures, the communication will be better indeed.
Comment by Angel Domínguez on 2/29/2008 at 4:35 AM:
Please, change "eel grasses" for "seaweeds"... you see... my English is awful...
Comment by Angel Domínguez on 2/29/2008 at 4:31 AM:
Hi, JG,

Thanks for to invite me as friend.
Due to my love for the sea, and for the lot of books I did on the subject, I have a lot of drawings of fishes, cetaceans and eel grasses, etc... so, if you want some, let me know, please.
I wish you the best with your books.
Angel

Hi JG,
Thanks for your note. I wasn't really familiar with the Hollins creative writing program (though I've heard of it), so I just checked it out online. It looks excellent, and something I would enjoy taking part in as a speaker (and it's just down the road a tad!) I'd appreciate it if... more
