Hello! I hope you are having a creative and prosperous new year.
I am still very new to the "World of Writing Books", and I have only just recently had the courage to send off a manuscript for a childrens picture book... (after 10 years of looking willfully at it... urging it to get out there and promote itself. ha ha ha ). Never fear! I am not under any illusion that it will be an immediate success... But it is the first step and my fingers are crossed. :0)
I have also nearly completed my first childrens adventure novel... with the ideas for the next three bubbling away excitedly in the background.
I have been an electrician for the last 15 years, and recently started a family.
My first baby, Sophie is nearly 3 and my second, Max has just turned 1, and really spending time reading to them is what has inspired me to fix up my own written ideas and make a go of it.
I have a very generous husband, Matthew, who purchased a laptop for me and said get serious... otherwise in 5 years you're going to be an electrician again.... that is enough to spur on the most feeble of hands.
So that is me today.... A domestic goddess who can't cook, doesn't clean very well, looks dreadful in the mornings........... but has a passion to write something good!
