1. Angus and Sadie, by Cynthia Voigt

Mister and Missus lived on a farm that they owned, but they wanted a dog, a dog that could watch the farm and help with the chores. So they decided they will get one in the spring. They wanted a Boarder Collie Mongrel, once spring came they got two Boarder Collie puppies a big strong black one, Angus, and a little brown sorrow one, Sadie. Angus grows up to be strong, clever, and brave.Sadie grows up to be well...Sadie isn't a fast learner and she doesn't obey that well either...she might need some work.

What I like about this story is that I love big friendly dogs and I like this book because all this book is about is two sweet dogs who grow up on a farm and this book is about their adventures on the farm. What I don't like about this book is that Mister and Missus aren't that smart.Like when they chose half boarder collie half mongrel, mongrels are mutts so they would have to get a boarder collie or just a boarder collie half some other dogs they wanted. And when Missus sells vegetables Sadie is with her, even though she has to tell everyone she doesn't like people or kids,I would put the dog in the house, not have kids coming up and wanting really badly to pet the dog!The people in here are just really weird... 2. Hotel for Dogs, by Lois Duncan

Liz and Bruce have to go to their Dad's Aunts house until they find a house of their own,Liz and Bruce don't like it at all, especially Liz because she had to leave her dog,Bebe, because their Great Aunt Alice is allergic to dogs. After a few days when they were living there a dog wandered into the house during supper and went up into Aunt Alice's sewing closet, after supper Liz told Bruce about what she saw and they went looking for her. They found her in Aunt Alice's sewing closet with three puppies! They gave them some of the leftover meat loaf from that night.they both decided that the next day Liz will say she had a stomach ache and will stay hom so Aunt Alice wont sew because that's Liz's bedroom, and she will take care of the dogs. Then Bruce will go to school and think of a plan. But then more dogs that need to be fed, groomed, walked, and cared for are stepping into their lives! What will they do!?!?

What I like about the story is that I love dogs and I think I would just keep two of the dogs and not keep them around Aunt Alice then give the other dogs to people in my family who could take care of them or just give them to people who could take care of them. This book is kind of like Junie B. Jones books where she would find the dogs and keep them in her room and give the ones she can't fit to her friends and her teacher. This book is a very good book because it explains every thing that is going on very clearly and it gives you the idea of what's going on right away.

3. Bad Hare Day by R.L Stine

Tim absolutely loves magic tricks and he would do anything to go to one of Amaz-O's show.He asked his parents but they said no because it was so late at night. Then he sneaks out of the house the night of the show (and he has to take his bratty little sister with him or she will tell his parents he's sneaking off!) .But then when he got there he volunteered for a trick. But what he didn't know was he had to disappear. When he disappeared he just went in the basement of the place and he found Amaz-O's secret magic tricks but they aren't just secret they are scary like the snakes that come out and balls that multiply and bounce every where in all directions...

What I like about the book is that magic is fun and anyone can learn it and magic just will lite up a persons day. What I don't like about the story is that magic tricks are pretty cool just magic tricks aren't supposed to be scary there supposed to be fun and suprizing not like killing magic tricks thats just...not normal.

4. Say Cheese and Die - Again! by R.L Stine

Greg still has that camera and he doesn't want to let go of it but his English teacher Sourball is very grouchy, too grouchy.Greg told everyone about the camera and everyone thinks he is crazy, Sourball, (Mr.Saur), tells Greg to bring the camera to school and take a class photo of everyone...

What I like about the story is that it's like Say Cheese and Die! Continues...But really it's kind of the same but it's more boring because you pretty much know what's going to happen because it is almost the same as the last book just with a new person in it that doesn't believe you.

5. Deep Trouble by R.L Stine

Billy and Sheena get to go to their uncle's house for the summer and he is a underwater scientist so they get to swim in the oceon a lot,but they aren't supposed to go in the coral reefs but Billy likes them so pretty and peaceful,he goes in there, but there is something dangerous and part human part underwater creature...

What don't like about the story is that on the cover it doesn't look like what it sounds it just look like a shark and that's all not something creepy and weird. What I do like about the book is that my mom loves underwater things and sea creatures so if I would show this book to my mom and she read it she would no exactly what to do if she was trapped with a shark.I think.

6. Ghost Beach, by R.L. Stine

Jerry get to visit his Aunt and Uncle in New England Jerry's sister Terri loves grave yards and Jerry hates them, but when he finds a cave he can't wait to explore it!Then kids tell him about the story of a ghost who haunts deep deep inside the cave and is over 300 years old...

What I don't like about this book is that I don't think there is such thing as ghosts and I don't think people realize that there isn't such things as ghosts but, there is such thing as spirits or demons and they might not just spirits or demons there could be things that people call ghosts and they could be what science hasn't figured out yet,and I don't think spirits really hurt people or haunt people or else it would be all over the news for attacks and people wouldn't be dressing up as them for Halloween. The book is also really not scary at all I didn't even get a little chill and none of my neck hairs stood up either. This book is kind of,it's hard to say it,but it was kind of not really boring. That was hard to say!

7. Say Cheese and Die! by R.L Stine

Greg stole a camera from a persons house and Greg doesn't know it but this camera is a very special camera.Because when he takes pictures something weird happens the picture doesn't ever turn out right it always turns out different and it is really weird because when he took a picture of his friend and it turned that his friend was laying on the ground sprawled on his back, his neck bent in a odd angle and his eyes shut tight...

What I don't like about the book is I love photography but I really don't think R.L was letting Greg get a nice camera because Greg talks about cameras a lot but he doesn't at least get a nice one??What I do like about the story is the story seems so long. This story really tells about Greg's life so barely even half way in the beginning of the story you know already what's going on!!

8. Attack of the Mutant by R.L Stine

Skipper loves comic books and he has a ton of them in his room.He loves a comic book series called "The Masked Mutant" which is about a mutant who is trying to rule the universe! But then one day when he is going to the library he sees this really weird place it was kind of cool too it was reddish pink and had yellow and blue in it too..It looked like The Masked Mutant's secret headquarters!!!Did the Masked Mutant really live in this town??

What I like about the story is it is really awesome that this kid collects comics, most people these days don't collect or keep comic books anymore his comic books are cool it would just be nicer if R.L used "The Tick" or Spiderman" or "Batman" then that would be really awesome. What I also like about the story is the story seemed so long!Lots of stories seem really short and not really much of a story.

9. Why I am Afraid of Bees by R.L Stine

Gary needs a vacation and he needs one just for him and he has to have one soon,a long vacation too.The reason why he needs one is because he gets beet up every day even his sister hates him. Then his wish gets granted he gets to switch bodies with a kid,but when he finds out who the kid is he isn't exactly sure he wants to switch anymore because this kid isn't exactly a kid...

What I like about the story is that I would like to change into someone too if I really had to I don't exactly want to,I just like changes. This book is also kind of like "Phantom of the Auditorium" because most books don't have phantoms in them and most scary stories don't have bees in them either.

10. The Haunted Mask ll, by R. L. Stine

Steve will always remember Carly Beth's Halloween mask from last year for Halloween he though it was totally awesome, but he wants to get one just like it so he is wondering where she got hers ,at first she doesn't want him to do it so she doesn't want to tell him because she did the wrong thing and she doesn't want him to be sorry, but then she couldn't help it she told him he went there that night he took his friend too,the man that sold them wasn't there then his friend and him found some doors to the basement where all of the masks were...Was he going to steel them or would he wait 'till the next day????

What I like about the story is the same reason why I like "The Haunted Mask" except this is with a different person and he might steel it or he will wait. The story is almost the same as the first one.

11. Phantom of the Auditorium by R.L Stine

Brooke's best friend Zeke gets the new role for the phantom and his directer says that the play was cursed but no one believed her. Everyone thought she was trying to trick them.Zeke really loves to dress up and scare every one on the cast so he is really in to it,mayby a little too far into it,oh well it is really fun anyway to dress up and act,but it isn't that fun when the night comes and a light comes crashing down on the stage...

What I like about the story is that most stories I mean a lot don't have phantoms in them,I don't know why because phantoms are awesome but they just aren't and this is like the only story I have ever read with a phantom so this story was exiting when I first saw it.This story is very scary and it tells kind of how to deal in Middle School when people are really mean.

12. The Haunted Mask by R.L Stine

Carly Beth gets teased at her school and she doesn't like it like most people but she can't help not to ignore them. This month she is getting teased because of her Halloween costume and this year her mom wants her to be a duck but she of course is not going to be that for Halloween she wants to be something else that will scare the wits out of those boys. When she gets a mask a really scary mask. She loves it but she didn't get to scare those boys on Halloween, but there is something weird about that mask, she's still wearing it...

What I like about this story is this book is about Halloween and it is almost Halloween!!!This book is not that scary but it is scary a little bit. This book is also cool because lots of people want to pay there friends back but they shouldn't and this book is kind of like a moral in a way telling kids not to pay their friends back, just don't be friends with them or just ignore them and go on with your day without thinking about them.

13. The Werewolf of Fever Swamp by R.L Stine

Grady and his family moved to Florida during Christmas Vacation in the middle of a swamp. Every night Grady keeps on hearing the angry howls coming from a dog in the night. His father has six swamp reindeer and one of them dies and everyone thinks it's Grady's dog because his dog looks somewhat like a wolf and acts a bit wild too.Is it really that dog???

What I like about the story is I really love big muscular dogs and I like Wolves too so when I read this story I wanted to jump in and take the dog and train it and keep it,the story really tells you what the dog looks like and what the dog does and it tells you how Grady found the dog and how protective the dog is.

14. The Beast From The East by R.L Stine

Ginger and her identical twin brothers ,Pat and Nat,are going are going to a camping trip with their parents and go deep into the woods.First of all when they got there they got lost plating hide and seek. Not a problem at all,Ginger had to go to a dumb nature camp anyway, but then when they get deeper in the woods everything is very strange, the trees are huge and the bushes are and plants are purple and the grass is a dark yellow. Then Ginger and her brothers meat the beasts from the east, they look like huge gorillas with their fur blue and their skin a raspberry sort of coser with blueberry in it,too. But then the beasts say they want to play tag,not a kind of "Tag Your It!!"it's more of "Tag you are it the winners live and the losers get eaten" kind of tag...

What I don't like about the book is the cover,R.L calls them beasts but from what they look like on the cover I think they are cute especially with the fangs.Maybe they should just add red eyes and toe nail fungus that is what I like about the cover is the cuteness. What I do like about the book is I love nature and I would love it if I was there and I would probably call my dad with my cell phone!Or I would say "No I am not playing this game!!!!I also love the name Ginger because I also like the spice.

15. Return of the Mummy by R.L Stine

Gabe is going to Egypt and he is a little nervous from the last incident he had with the mummy's so he isn't so sure about going ,but he goes anyway. When he gets there he has to meet his uncle in the airport. At first he thought his uncle was going to come in dressed as a mummy or dressed as something else and embarrass him. When his uncle did pick him up he actually wasn't dressed as anything!!After a few days in Egypt Gabe's uncle gave him a necklace with a scarab bug in it (it is a type of beetle that the Egyptians believed it was good luck.)After that they were going to Gabe's Uncles pyramid that he worked in.When they finally got in a pyramid they saw a walking mummy coming toward Gabe's Uncle...

What I like about the story is I like social studies and we are learning about archaeologists and that's what this book is also about is archaeologists and they are trying to find a tomb with a specific person inside.I also think Egypt is very interesting. The book is also kind of confusing too because you kind of had to figure out what was happening.

16. Monster Blood by R.L Stine

Evan has to go with his great-aunt Kathryn but she is really creepy and when he goes there he has no friends but his dog and he can't stand it there when he was walking is dog,Trigger,he actually met someone!A girl...Oh well her name was Andrea, she was at least someone his age or maybe a little bit older but they became friends. One day when they were taking Trigger for a walk they went into town and saw a toy store they went inside and it wasn't as clean as they expected, there was dust everywhere and they still did see cool thing,Evan found a can of slimy goo when they got home they Evan and Andrea played with it for a little while until Trigger ate it,it at first chocked him because he was chocking really bad! Then Evan pulled it out of the dogs mouth. Then after a few days it started growing and growing and something wierd happens.

What I like about the story is that this book also reminds me of my little brothers, they, since they are boys would pick the goo,my other sisters would not pick the goo and nor would they play with it,I guess it reminds me of me,too. The book is very well written and it tells details, too.I don't like books with too much detail but with some detail. There are other books in this series and I am looking for reading those ones too!I might write that one.

17. A Night in Terror Tower by R.L Stine

Sue and her brother Eddie are going to London and they are going on lots of tours with their tourist and other people who want a tour, too (of course). But then while they are going to a castle they can't find their tourist when they reach the tower where people were slaves and killed. They keep on seeing this creepy man with red eyes and a hood on with a ax in his hand and very scrunched over because of his back. Then they keep on going back in time and seeing weird things and they are being chased by the guy with red eyes and it is just very confusing.

What I don't like about this book is it isn't just very confusing it is too confusing,I had to read it twice and I still don't get it that's why this one is kind of later then the others because I was still trying to figure out if I should review it or not and if I should just cross it off my list. That is the only thing I didn't like about it I did like the kid's personality's and the book was pretty good when I wasn't to confused. This book is like about castles and princes and princesses and all those fancy really old castles. So if you like that kind of stuff this book is the perfect one.

18. Stay Out of the Basement by R.L Stine

Margaret and Casey's father is doing some experiments in the basement and he tells them not to go down there but of course when he leaves the basement they go down there, that's when they meet all his weird plants that is down there like a real live breathing tree and some other really cool plants. But that's when the experiments are starting to get a little too far and their dad is starting to do a lot of weird things like sprouts are coming from his head and he is eating plant food...

What I like about the book is the weirdness because whenever there is a book and it has the craziest cover ever it's gotta be mine when I've got the money.Because this book has a really weird cover I mean like who usually sees books with a green hand coming from a door with all these vines rowing all over it!This book is a scary book, but I don't think it is scary enough. This book is like "You Can't Scare Me!" but with leafy green monsters instead of mud monsters.

19. How to Kill a Monster, by R. L. Stine

Gretchen and her step-brother,Clark,have to go to there grandparents house for the summer and they hate it there there grandpa is practically deaf and there grandma just wants to bake they have no telephone,no TV,nothing to do but explore. The only thing is that grandpa always eats in his bed in the morning and doesn't eat at the table and grandma makes a ton of food but when it's supper, lunch,or breakfast time she's isn't eating any of it.Nothing else weird write?NOPE,the only last thing is the upstairs room, the one with the key in it,the one that you always here weird noises from and you always see crumbs buy the door...

What I like about the book is the adventure in it.This book is a lot like other stories that have monsters in it like "Stay Out Of The Basement"the show "Power Puff Girls"except it doesn't have super heroes and fighting and it just has a monster in it that two kids try to kill.

20. Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes by R.L Stine

Joe Burton's dad loves lawn ornaments and he loves his garden there next door neighbor ,Mr.McCall and and Moose, like their garden, too, but when the Burton's won last year with their tomato's (the Burton's are Joe's family) Mr. McCall kind of got a little more competitive and said he wanted to grow something new.One day it was a bright day and his father wanted to go get some new lawn ornaments for the lawn.He got two ugly lawn gnomes.Except after he got the lawn gnomes crazy things have been going on,like tomatoes being smashed and veggies being crushed to pieces.

What I like about this story is lawn gnomes rock and the book gives a very well describing of the lawn gnomes, also,I like the cover(just it's not as well as "The Barking Ghost")because it shows what the lawn gnomes are doing and in the story it tells why they do it.

21. Night of The Living Dummy by R.L Stine

Lindy and Kris are twin sisters and they look the same on the outside but are true opposites on the outside, that's what it's like for most twins,Lindy and Kris like to bicker a LOT,well, they don't LIKE to bicker they just do.They don't bicker all the time though they also like to tell secrets with each other and they like to do things together and they like to be ventriloquist's,well they weren't ventriloquist's at first until Lindy found Slappy then that's when the trouble started. It was one day when they were going to go look at the house next door construction workers were working on and in the dumpster their was what looked like a child at first that's really what Lindy and Kris thought it was,but when they went closer they saw it was a dummy and they didn't need to worry, but when they found the dummy of course Lindy had to have it,Kris got jealous. Then she asked her father for a dummy too.Her father said it was to much money but then a few days later she got a dummy from her father. She called him Mr.Wood, she loved him and practiced and practiced, until one day the dummy slapped her and started saying bad things...

What I like about the book is the cover looks creepy,VERY creepy, and this book is like Chucky and another movie with a dummy but I don't know the name of it.This book is also like the series of Valley Kids with two twins except this book is horror.

22. Egg Monsters From Mars, by R.L Stine

Dana's Sister,Brandy, had her tenth birthday and she always gets her way so this year she had a egg hunt and at first everyone was just looking for eggs but when they heard they weren't hard boiled that's when a egg fight started. It was very messy and Brandy got in trouble and then Dana found this huge egg that had veins and a heart beat.He took it in his room and put it in his sock drawer. The next morning he heard a loud cracking noise and when he opened his drawer he found this huge gross blob of eggs with two black beady eyes.

What I like about the book is it is like the book "How I Got My Shrunken Head" because in this book the boy figures out how to use the shrunken head and figures out how it has cool powers, and the egg monsters have powers if you touch one.How I got my shrunken head is cool, too.

23. How I Got My Shrunken Head by R.L Stine

Mark has always loved jungles all his life.He loves the game Jungle King that is a computer game and he loves it so much he plays it every single day.He came up with this jungle word Kah-lee-ah,he says it every time he does something good in Jungle King like not falling into quick sand or not being eaten by a crocodile or trampled by some rhinos. In the came you collect these little shrunken heads and each one you get is a point. His little sister Jessica plays but she always goes into the quick sand because she likes the noise. But then one day someone came and her name was Carolyn Hawlings and she was holding a shrunken head, a real one. Then she said it was from his Aunt Benna and she sent it for him.She stayed over that night and then the next morning she told him the new she said he and her was going to the jungle. And that's when it all started...

What I don't like about the book is the word Kah-lee-ah it's the silliest word I have ever heard in my entire life.I is like someone just made the word up and put it in a story.I mean it just bothers me and makes me want to scream! What I do like about the book is the adventure in a jungle.I loooove adventure in books. This would be a lot like a different book where someone gets lost in a jungle and they have superpowers if you have ever read one with that but if you haven't that's what this is about. This book is just a creepy jungle story that is really weird. So if you like weird creepy jungle story's this is the perfect one.

24. You Can't Scare Me! by R.L Stine

Eddie is afraid of things and Courtney trys to scare him and make him look like a total wimp in front of everyone he knows. But Eddie wants to pay her back he and his friends try everything but Courtney just makes them get in trouble. Then Eddie has a perfect plan because now he knows that Courtney believes in a rumor that has been going on for years about the mud monsters that live in Muddy Creek but when they go there it's not good that Eddie doesn't believe in them because it could be a fact...

What I like about the story is that it is like it is telling you that monsters could of lived many many many years ago and monsters could be living now. This story is like How to kill a Monster and Stay Out Of The Basement. You will like this if you like monster stories and monster legends.

25. One Day At Horrorland, by R.L Stine

The Morris Family was going to an Amusement park but they forgot the map,so they were lost when they found Horrorland and all three of the kids wanted to go Lizzie, Luke ,and Clay,Luke's best friend. Lizzie and Luke really wanted to go I mean REALLY so they went and they got to go on any ride they wanted. They went to lots of rides and on every one of them they got really scared because the sines said the weirdest things like on a slide ride the sine said:Doom Slide. Will You Be The One To Slide Forever?and then:Warning!-You May Be The One To Slide To Your Doom! That's creepy. But will they live??

What I like about the story is I always ALWAYS want to just want to jump in the book and go with them and enjoy my frights with them (even though it's supposed to be a scary book.), like the part where Lizzie,Luke, and Clay go down the slide and find Clay missing, and the part where they go in the hall of mirrors.
