About John
Hi, I'm John. I'm a 38-year-old medical copy editor and I still like kids' books. I even wrote one before my daughter was born 6 years ago. It still isn't published because I can't stop editing it. (It also rhymes, which I'm told is a pretty bad idea.)
Anyway, it seems like all the good books are still written for kids, something I've rediscovered in recent years. That's what I'd like to publish. I also enjoy writing haiku, and I submit captions to the New Yorker cartoon contest when I can.
That's about it so far. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi John,
Yes, writing books for kids, especially nonfiction, is really tough. Keep at it.
