R.D. Muslim is the pen name of Lady Rabia Abdul-Hakim, the first, native Muslim woman from the Cayman Islands. The recipient of the “1997 Outstanding Graduate in Economics” from the University of Tampa, Lady Rabia is also the published author of numerous short children’s stories. She is also the author of the forthcoming rhyming children’s series, Stories of the Sahaba and she was commissioned to re-write the children’s series of the Biography of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Her latest book RISING: Powerful Poetry was just released this month. A visionary entrepreneur and creative pioneer, Lady Rabia is co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of BIG Cause, the first specialized social marketing and communications agency in Saudi Arabia. She is also the President and CEO of ContessaBlack Publishing & Media Corp. Ltd., and the creative genius behind the company’s dynamic multicultural family-based properties. A dedicated philanthropist, Lady Rabia is also the founder of Phenom Foundation, a social enterprise formed to promote literacy, leadership and volunteerism amongst Muslim youth.Lady Rabia Abdul-Hakim is also one of the select female documentary photographers in Saudi Arabia, where she lives with her husband and children.
