About Bruce
In exotic locations on six continents, Bruce Reitherman has produced, written, directed, and shot programs broadcast by Disney/ABC, PBS, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, the BBC and a host of other international outlets. Reitherman’s innovative abilities have been showcased in over 25 major program broadcasts emphasizing landscape and wildlife. He has earned three personal Emmy Award nominations (one win) for Special Achievements in Cinematography, and programs produced by him have won a total of eight Emmy nominations overall. Martin Sheen, Faye Dunaway, Peter Coyote and Sally Kellerman have performed narrations he has written.
After graduating from U.C. Berkeley in 1977 with an independent major in Natural Resources and a minor in Spanish, subsequent work experience included stints as a river guide, field biologist, naturalist, expedition leader and biological consultant. Despite feeling that what hasn’t killed him has made him stronger, Bruce now wisely resides in the safety of Santa Barbara, California with his wife, artist Erika Hill, and their daughter Camilla.
