Hmmm...let's see...we're all "special" in our own way, but I would imagine there may be a few things that set me apart from others.

First of all, you guessed it. Just as you, I'm here because I too love all things about art, creating, illustrating, doodling, writing, and children's books. Although I've loved art for a very long time, roughly 36 years, I've only been really good for about 33 of that.

Secondly, I'm not only an artsy chick who loves to draw cartoons and paint murals, but I'm a wife, a mom of seven, (including two boys with special needs: autism and a brain tumor/visual impairment) a substitute teacher, a volunteer, a Girl Scout leader, a dreamer of dreams and a maker of wishes! Since the whole "wish thing" hasn't worked much for me the last few years I've decided to work instead, which is part of the reason I'm here. Instead of hanging out on the fringes of the art world by following art blogs, other artist's work, and the children's book market, I've decided it's time to create my own following! My artwork has been on the back burner long enough...it's time to introduce it to the world and realize my dream of becoming a published author/illustrator!
