About Susan
I am a librarian at an independent school in San Diego, and work mostly with our lower school students. I have a deep appreciation for children's books, especially those from countries around the world. Poetry, too. My favorite book of all is The Story of Ferdinand. Traveling is an important part of my life, too. And being on, in or near the water.

I'm a fan of librarians, having lived that life. I'm also a fan of Ferdinand. One of the best compliments I got about a story was that it made them feel the way they did when they read Ferdinand. It's not published (too quiet?) -- yet. Thanks for all you do for kids!
