I never dreamed I would ever write a book!! It all began with a large acrylic on canvas painting for my precious grandaughter, featuring a princess dancing in a field of flowers. birthstone in her crown and the caption "Princess Carol's Garden. A customers in my shop saw it and as the saying goes, the rest is history. I have since painted over 150 personalized fairytale paintings for children and adults. At some point, I realized that I had bought into the 'princess mania' so prevalent in our society. And so . . . In order to redeem myself, I wrote and illustrated "On Being a REAL Princess, Secrets of the Happy Heart Princess". Sixteen princesses from around the world dance thru the book with values, self esteem and decision making affirmations together with journaling activities.
