About thomas
Hi everyone. I'm new to this board.
I've always enjoyed children's books and think that in many cases they are under-rated by the 'serious' media and critics. This is grossly unfair as I think as a general rule they have at least as much to offer (and often more!) than more heavyweight or mature titles.
In fact, I enjoy them so much I have just written my own children's story called Bluey & Dingo's Outback Adventure. It's aimed at around the 5 year-old age group, and is a colourful tale based on the adventures of an Australian farmer who travels into the desert with his pet dog, Dingo. Unfortunately, they get trapped miles from anywhere when their jeep breaks down. I'll have to leave how they get home and what happens to those who want to get the book :-)
But if you'd like to find out more, we're launching a website (www.blueyanddingo.com) for the book in mid-October 2010 and the title will be available from November on Amazon. In the meantime, you can visit YouTube and search for 'Bluey & Dingo' to get an insight into the story and how it was put together. I think you may find it quite interesting (I certainly hope so anyway!).
We're also setting up a 'Bluey & Dingo's Outback Adventure' group on Facebook, where you can follow my progress in assembling the script, art and other elements in a mad dash to meet the publishing date!
I do hope you'll look us up. Thanks for reading this post!
Best wishes for now,
Tom
