Publisher Information
Ann Arbor Media Group
Ann Arbor Media Group (AAMG) was founded in 1999 under the direction of Jim Edwards, Publisher, and others with strong ties to the printing and publishing industry. AAMG has experienced strong growth in its list of classic literature, children's classics, health-related titles, and a variety of other proprietary products for major book chains and large corporations. In 2003, AAMG launched a new imprint, Sports Media Group, under the direction of Skip DeWall, who has over 13 years of experience publishing sports-related books, with a focus on golf and baseball. The Sports Media Group imprint continues this focus on sports. Mr. DeWall also directs AAMG's regional program focused on Michigan and the Great Lakes area. Ann Arbor Media Group's children's imprint, Mitten Press, was started in July of 2005 under the direction of Lynne Johnson. Mitten Press is developing a list of titles to appeal to young readers and parents alike. Its first season featured the charming story of Homer the ruby-throated hummingbird and a reader about Pippa the big brown bat. Two holiday books finished the first year. Mitten Press has a distinguished list of authors and illustrators to bring its customers the very finest in children's literature. Titles in 2006 include gardening, soccer, regional travel, and a chapter book.
