I am a freelance writer, editor, and book packager, specializing in educational materials for teachers, parents, and children. In addition to packaging dozens of books for Scholastic Inc., I recently enjoyed being part of the writing/editing team for Good Habits, Great Readers, a research-based reading program published by Celebration Press/Pearson.

Most recently, I formed On the Ball Productions with graphic designer Holly Grundon. Together, we create products for school and home, handling everything from concept development through final product. Current projects include a set of interactive books for young children and an early-reader nonfiction series.

My publishing experiences began at Scholastic Inc., where I was an editor for Scholastic News and Instructor magazine. Prior to that, I taught at the elementary-, middle-, and high-school levels.

After living in way too many places in NYC and the Catskills, my son, our cat, and I happily settled in Burlington, Vermont.
