I'm a published author, "Little Lamb's Bible" (Zonderkidz 2012), "Little Lion's Bible" (Zonderkidz 2012) and "The Wonderful World that God Made," (Kregel, 2004) and illustrator, (educational stuff). In July 2005 I added an MFA in Writing for Children from Vermont College to a B.A. in Spanish/English from Bucknell University, and an art major from Calvin College.

My Master's thesis was about the synergystic picturebook: picture books in which the text and illustrations work together to create a greater whole, and that's primarily what I write. I'm a very visual thinker.

Currently I am circulating 19 picture book manuscripts, 8 of which were part of my creative thesis, and one which I've dummied. I'm also have a completed MG novel, "Turn," about a bi-racial Jersey girl growing up in the sixties who discovers her house was on the Underground Railroad.

To pay my bills, I'm a book designer, both jackets and interiors. I'm also a fine artist (assemblage, wood block prints, photography) with my work in various galleries over the years.
