Having been bitten by the writing bug as a child, Jacqueline created plays for neighborhood friends, which she also directed, providing hours of creative fun during the long days of summer vacation.

Feeling drawn to the creative arts, Jacqueline studied piano from the age of 7 and voice from the age of 18. She majored in both disciplines in university and now teaches voice, drama, dance and creative writing workshops in a studio (Slightly off Broadway) that she co-owns with her best friend.

Jacqueline sang in her church youth choir and senior choir as well as a community youth group that also performed a broadway musical every year. These experiences drew Jacqueline into the world of musical theatre and soon, she had developed a children's choir that presented two concerts/year (one was a traditional choral concert and the other, a children's musical).

Opening a performing arts studio has been a dream for Jacqueline. Teaming up with her best friend Connie, the two women pooled all their talents and skills together, enabling them to offer triple-threat programming as well as specialized programs for tiny tots to senior citizens and everyone in between.

Jacqueline is responsible for writing all the plays and musicals for the studio's drama department, a job she highly enjoys. She has sold some of her scripts for performances by middle school drama clubs and summer theatre drama programs in the U.S.A.

Currently, Jacqueline is shopping around a couple of rhyming PBs and is busy finishing her revisions on her adult suspense novel. She has published several articles in ezines as well as several kids' poems in well-known magazines.

Jacqueline is passionate about encouraging children and teens to read and write. She hopes to complete her YA novel by the end of 2008 and get it out there as well.
