There are plenty of m4m Missed Connections in the archives and in fact the last one, Furry Arms, is m4m. Sadly there are fewer w4w ones, although one of my favorites, You Left Your Coat is about a girl. If there were more funny, intriguing, memorable lesbian messages posted I'd be all over them. There's a challenge!
(There are also same sex couples coming soon in the portrait pairs..)

I know this isn't from NewYork, but I once went on the missed connections here in Iowa, and i read one of the most beautiful ones I've ever heard. If you ever painted it, it'd be heavenly.....i wish i had artistic talent :) here it is, for you:

"Veisha- Hellogoodbye - m4w - 24 (Ames- hellogoobye concert, left side.)

I was dancing behind you. I'm usually not shy at all about asking someone to dance, but when you turned and looked behind before the band came on, the stage lights hit your face and I was completely stunned by just how beautiful you were. You had on an armyesque jacket over a black hoody. To my disappointment you stood mostly still as the show began, but occasional swaying gave me hope. Hellogoodbye played 3-4 songs before you turned and brushed past me to leave, pushing though the crowd. I turned to follow you, but I was too late and I lost you in the crowd. Veisha this year feels just as waisted as this opportunity. I only hope I have the chance to remedy my mistake. "

I don't know if it's the distance or your lovely artwork affecting my judgment, but SF missed connections just don't seem as... interesting? emotive? strangely poetic even when absolutely ordinary?

love the way you've described the texture of fur on his arms, and - of course - the paper airplane detail! definitely a memorable visual, i really like the literal-ness and whimsy of it.
