Stencil work is hard to make look painterly, but Jason Adams has some excellent examples. Dare I say some are even pretty? Equally impressive are his graphics for skateboards. He seems to have a real thing for celebrity portraits too.

Keeley Carrigan (a.k.a. Bloo Empire) resides in Charlotte, North Carolina where he spends his time adding to his already impressive volume of work. According to his artist statement, the time he spent as a kid playing with Legos and building super hero costumes has carried over to his life today and has had a profound effect on the work he is currently doing. Visit Keeley’s website or Flickr account to see more of his graphically-good work.

Jason’s work is really interesting. I especially liked what he did with Johnny Cash. Although I can’t imagine the sales of the Hillary skateboards will spike anytime soon - you gotta love the idea. :)
