I say this every summer, but I really want to get back to editing my middle grade novel, ENCROACHED. It's time. I'm pretty sure I'm going to self-publish this one via Lulu Enterprises, Inc. This copy was printed by them. I was really happy with it. It was a sample copy—just to see the quality—so now I need to finish editing it. I've also changed the cover a bit. It will feature the same bear, but I've altered it quite a bit. It's my photograph though, which is one nice thing. I love that bear picture. I have it hanging in my family room.
I hope I can really get working with it once I get back from California. We're going down to visit my MIL for awhile. Maybe I should take this copy with me and make edits while we're on the road. Can you read will driving in a car? Nathan, Neil, and I are the only ones in my family that can do that. Rick and the girls get carsick if they try to read while riding. Not me. I can be riding down a road looking through binoculars and I'll be just fine.
So anyway, I hope I can make some progress on ENCROACHED this summer. It's definitely time to release this story into the wild. My other books are still available, too. In fact, I just renewed the domain for my website this morning. You can find them all listed on the link below. There are ten picture books listed.
