When their sister learns that they have failed and are in danger, she sets out dressed as a man, conquers the mountain of black stone, rescues her brothers and obtains the bird, the tree, and the fountain. Elaborately illustrated with intricate detail, the rich colours bring to life the lyrical language of this intriguing tale with a happy twist to its conclusion.
