2. Norton to Publish Ben Bernake Memoir

W. W. Norton & Company has acquired the world publication rights to a new memoir by Ben S. Bernanke, the former Federal Reserve Chairman. In the book, Bernanke will share his experience of the global financial crisis of 2007-2009 and the Great Recession that followed. He will also share his story working with two U.S. presidents and four Treasury secretaries. Norton's president/ chairman, W. Drake McFeely, acquired the book and he will also serve as editor. "It is tremendously exciting to announce the publication of Ben Bernanke's new book and to add him to the list of authors at W. W. Norton & Company," stated McFeely. "Bernanke, not only as Fed Chairman but also as one of our leading economic historians, has had an unequaled perspective on the American economy since 2006." The book is slated for publication in 2015.
