1. Where, Oh Where, Is Santa Claus? by Lisa Wheeler

Where, Oh Where, is Santa Claus?Title: Where, Oh Where, Is Santa Claus?

Written by: Lisa Wheeler

Illustrated by: Ivan Bates

Hardback: 32 pages

Ages: 3-7

Publisher: Harcourt

ISBN: 978-0-15-216408-9

Publication: October 2007

It’s Christmas Eve and Santa Claus has gone missing:

“Stamping-tramping
reindeer feet
clomp and stomp through polar sleet.

Step-by-step in
Christmas snow,
search for Santa.
Where’d he go?

Clip-clop, clip-clop, two-by-two.
Santa! Santa! Where are you?”

Luckily his sleuthing polar friends, the bunnies, seal pups, fox, and the polar bear cub,
follow his footprints and find Santa just in time to save Christmas.

This is a really cute story. The playful rhymes are sure to keep kids entertained. The
illustrations by Ivan Bates were done in wax crayons and watercolor. The colors are soft and cheerful …. and Santa couldn’t look any more jolly! This is a wonderful book to add to your holiday collection.
