How to use this Page
You are viewing the most recent posts tagged with the words: blog salon in the JacketFlap blog reader. What is a tag? Think of a tag as a keyword or category label. Tags can both help you find posts on JacketFlap.com as well as provide an easy way for you to "remember" and classify posts for later recall. Try adding a tag yourself by clicking "Add a tag" below a post's header. Scroll down through the list of Recent Posts in the left column and click on a post title that sounds interesting. You can view all posts from a specific blog by clicking the Blog name in the right column, or you can click a 'More Posts from this Blog' link in any individual post.
While you've got visions of sugarplums dancing in your heads (or you are up to your elbows in pre-holiday task lists), wanted to give you the scoop on this year's Blog Salon at ALA MW 2010. We're going Old School.
That's right. You asked for it, we delivered: We're back to the suite in Boston (!).
Here are all the details:

OCLC events at ALA MW 2010, too. You could have breakfast AND cocktail hour with OCLC on Sunday!
* Reminiscing?
Previous Blog Salon photos on Flickr works well for that!
* Not attending this year? Leave us your comment and we'll post them for everyone in the room...
News flash: We've been upgraded from the Hilton Boulevard Room C to Boulevard Room AB. Spread the word. And if you're not attending ALA, we'll post lots of photos and videos after that fact. The Shanachies will definitely be creating some memories.

I finally posted them, although I didn't have nearly as many as I thought I did. Add your own links in comments!
I have about a million interesting ideas rumbling around in my head. Everything from the wifi in libraries being blamed for health problems to the WorldCat.org inclusion on the Web for Change list to how many WorldCat t-shirts do we need at each WorldCat Challenge session. If you have already heard about the WorldCat Challenge and suspected I was one of the culprits behind the madcap mayhem, you were right! George has kindly agreed to lead the antics for at least a few of the rounds, too.
But the one session you don't see on the list is the one most near and dear to our hearts as bloggers and blogreaders: the Blog Salon. Here are the long-awaited details, as I hope all of you can come say hello and join in some of the best, most fascinating conversations at conference.
OCLC Blog Salon

This is my card to friends and family, featuring the character from a film I'm currently working on. He's a disgraced Parisian racecar driver who is now a cab driver. In this instance, he seems to be taking Santa for a ride.

Zwarte Piet and Krampus are legendary companions of Saint Nicholas.
These guys right here are the REAL deal.
the real icons of CHRISTmas.
I dunno exactly when the commercial sense of the season
started to give more credit to Northern Winter Characters,
like Snowmen, Reindeers and elves.
But hey!...We all live in peace and Harmony.
Merry christmas.

it's Mrs. Santa Claus!! woohoo! Merry Christmas everyone...
