What have I been up to lately? I've written my brains out prior to 2007. This year was dedicated to walking the talk. I'm an inspirational writer, so this year I've decided to give the writing time to my community in forms of volunteering to coach and mentor children in various sports and venues.... more

What have I been up to lately? I've written my brains out prior to 2007. This year was dedicated to walking the talk. I'm an inspirational writer, so this year I've decided to give the writing time to my community in forms of volunteering to coach and mentor children in various sports and venues. Just recently, I've decided to enter a few stories into various, inexpensive short story contests.
I own Shakalot High Entertainment, my company since 2001 and have 12 books out there in the various book venues, mostly online. Most of the books inspire different kinds of individuals... deadbeat dads and etc. The books are out of this world and totally crazy. So, I took 2007 to break and slow down to suck up more of the world's issues. Starting in 2008, I'll be back to writing these nutty novels. I'm slowly easing into it with the short stories. I'll post a few of them next year. Thanks for supporting Shakalot High.

Color Online wants to know what you're reading. Send us a short review of a book or collection of poetry. Reviews can be as short as 200 words no more than 500. If we use your review, we'll send you a free book! We're looking for reviews on books by women of color. Timmy woke up, sweaty and foul. It was one-hundred and ten degrees that night in Arizona, so his feet alarmingly stunk like Cheetos. However, it was more than the sweet smells that woke him. He'd heard a sound coming from underneath his bed!
"Oh my goodness. What was that?" He sat up.
There was the sound again.
Timmy carefully stepped down from his bed and bent over. He slowly pulled up the damp sheets and peered into the darkness underneath the bed.
There. Timmy found the source of the noise.
It was a roach.
"Here little roach," greeted Timmy, as he reached for the bug to play with. "I won't hurt you."
Timmy reached. He reached further. Timmy was completely under his bed when he grabbed the roach.
Then... Timmy ate it.
