I found Anvil to be a sweet character, even though it didn't really speak I felt the character in a way I didn't think I would be able to. If robots could feel I would suspect that this one would feel some sadness, loneliness, but when it is reunited I believe it would feel warmth, gratitude and most of all, love. I think that this was Beekmans' intention; to somehow give something that wasn't supposed to feel, emotions. To give life to an otherwise lifeless creature, and in my opinion I believe he succeeded. I found Beekmans' story to be an endearing and cute tale that I can see myself reading again. His writing style is different from any I've read, and his word usage is unfamiliar, but didn't confuse me in any way. He was able to make me, someone who doesn't really enjoy science fiction, take pleasure in reading it. If you are looking for quick, but pleasing story, I recommend it!" 3.5/5 stars! -Jana~All Things Books~

I gave this book to my wife because of her love for cats. She has six, so I figured in between cleaning, feeding and playing "cat and mouse" with them, she'd enjoy this fine book. I was right, she read the whole thing through in one sitting, good thing it's only 94 pages long. Needless to say, she's anxiously awaiting his next thrilling piece of work.
