Hi. I've been a teacher at the middle school level for 23 years, and this year, I have morphed into the Library Goddess of a middle school--I absolutely love it! This job lets me enjoy the best parts of teaching while being able to work with the entire staff of my building and be surrounded by books--cool! One of these days, hopefully, the book(s) written and illustrated by my fabulous and talented sister-in-law, Jayme, my incredible husband, Michael and me might find their way to the shelves of this very library. Our first collaboration in the series is called The Pooku--Haiku for Pooka (Thwart Not My Feline Desires) a book of illustrated haiku inspired by the adventures, misadventures and musings of my silver-grey tabby cat, Pooka (usually known as Pook).

I'm currently working on my masters in library media. I'm also working weekends at a local greenhouse, as well as being a librarian. I love working in my gardens with my wonderful husband, Michael and my son, Zach. I enjoy the Grand Valley and its delicious wine, hanging around laughing with my friends and reading. I ran a marathon for The Leukemia Society in Honolulu, and a near marathon (shorter but way harder!) called the Rim Rock Run--gate to gate up and over and down the Colorado National Monument! I think I'm done with that distance, but I'll always be a runner. Well, maybe "run" is a bit of an exaggeration these days!
