My name is Donna and I am a author of children's stories. A mother of three, together with my husband we live in Australia. My stories include early readers, chapter books for emerging readers and young adult stories in both fantasy and historical fiction genres. I have also had my poetry published in journals and an anthology.

*SHORTLISTED- Jan 2010. ‘Billy Cart Derby’ made it through the sorting round at Blake Education (GIGGLERS series) for their RED series.

*SHORTLISTED – Nov 2009. ‘Lost‘ and a Haiku poem, have been shortlisted for Black Dog Books 2010 Anthology.

*PUBLISHED- June 2009. “Dancing on the Stars” has been published in a softcover anthology for the FIJI Books charity Project. You can read ‘Dancing on the Stars’, along with other stories that appear in the book at www.lulu.com

*PUBLISHED- June 2009. “A Breif Moment in Time” , a poem, has been published in the ‘Fiction Online’ Magazine, edition #2.

*PUBLISHED- June 2009. YA Story; ‘ Harry’s Lighthouse’ historical fiction has been published by Billabong Valley Publications in their 2009 Ghost Story Anthology ‘Australian Chillers’.

*PUBLISHED- March 2009. ‘My Kite’ has been published by Rainbow Press in their March 2009 edition of Positive Words Creative Writing magazine.

*SHORTLISTED- Oct 2008. My poem ‘Ghost’ was shortlisted and appears in the December 2008 edition. Rainbow Press: Positive Words Creative Writing magazine, September 2008 Mini Competition.

*WINNER - Nov 2008. WINNER 2008 Billabong Valley Publications Pre School Section for my story ‘Good Night Farm’
