I was born in Clanton,Al. and was moved from place to place throughout most of Central Al. until I married. When this event occurred, I made a permanent home in Oneonta, Al. having lived here for the past thirty years without intentions of moving again. Through all the moves in my youth, I began to aspire to become a writer; starting out writing song lyrics, then short fictional stories without success. As I grew older my attention became focused on writing fictional humor; I read everything I could find on humor. Still having no success with my writing efforts, I became a father of a beautiful baby girl. This became my passion for a number of years, and she is still my best friend even today. Any way, in her young years, I created an imaginary character in story form to entertain her. This character(Junior Snobcopper), was very appealing to her, and also to many of her cousins, since they all grew up together. Junior became more defined as I continued the stories, until one day I decided to try to have these stories published. I finished my first manuscript in 1995, and began my search for a publisher with the result being only vanity presses at the time. My manuscript collected dust until December 2008 when I found a traditional publisher willing to make my work a reality. Finally in March 2009, my work was now in my hands as a finished product. I have used a self publishing platform since then to get my second book, and sequal to the first, published.
I am currently writing the third and final book on this series and hope to have it published, or at least in the process, by June or July 2009. I enjoy writing very much as you can tell by my bio. but after all, practice makes for perfection.
