Hello everyone. My pen name is Alani M’echel Weathers. I am an actress, storyteller, and a writer. I am also currently a Public Relations intern and a Communication and English tutor.I’ve always shared a passion for writing and have been doing so since childhood.I am also a full-time senior undergraduate at Lake Superior State University majoring in Communication with minors in Speech and Drama and Public Relations. I am also assisting my mother raise my six nieces and nephews ages 6-14.I have current plans to graduate in spring of 2010 and pursue a career in public relations while seeking a master’s degree in public relations or media studies. It is my aspiring dream to become an accomplished author of children’s fiction and some adult fantasy fiction. My newly published story, The Horrible Huckleberry Hex, is a fun-filled adventure about camping trip that goes awry for 11 year old named Jordan Davis and his family when they discover a batch of wild blueberries that just happen to be cursed. Only Jordan doesn’t discover that be berries are cursed until he runs into a couple of friends from school and warn him about shying away from a mysterious path that leads away from the hiking trail that he and his family had recently discovered. Is it too late for Jordan to save his family from a curse more gruesome than he could ever imagine? Keep your eyes peeled, this story is also filled with ez-recipes for kids and should be on the shelves sometime in late July or early August 2009.
