My name is Dave Nicholson and I played music most of my life. ( Sorry what was in here before was a bio I was writing on my friend Mavis Jukes).I stopped the music industry to raise 5 kids as a surveyor in Va. I liked the slowed down pace I just played gigs close by and surveyed. Then I got a serious brain injury because of a investigative story I can't talk about. I ,we believe, was beaten and thrown off a 70 cliff. I also broke my C-1 and somehow crawled for two days with a broken neck.That was 7/ 4/ 02. I am almost fully recovered and started making openback,classical banjos. I live in a cabin with a wolf on a cliff by the Bullpasture River.Mike Seeger and Steve Parks live close by and have been a big help.banjoplaye
