Roz Grace is a product of Detroit, Michigan, and Cleveland, Ohio, public schools. Her love of books was fostered in first grade by her school librarian, Ms. Reddy. She credits demanding and nurturing high school teachers with intensifying her love of books and desire to learn. Ms. Grace earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Wilberforce, University in Ohio. After teaching first and second grade for several years in the Cleveland, Ohio Municipal School District, she returned to school to earn an M.A. in Education/Reading from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. Upon graduation from Clark Atlanta, she returned to Cleveland's Municipal School District as a Reading Specialist. After many years of living in Los Angeles, California, Ms. Grace now lives in Durham, North Carolina, where she works as a writer, publisher, and communications professional.
