My background includes a thirty-year career as an educator, a reading specialist and a college professor. I enjoyed sharing picture books with my students and my two children and have always had a goal of writing and publishing my own.
My writing experience includes authoring a workbook, “Phonics Decoding”, which Northern Arizona University published in 1991 and was used in my college classes. Recently, I have had gardening articles published in several magazines and in the Arizona Federation of Garden Clubs internet magazine, Greenleaf. For the past three years, I have written a weekly “Desert Gardener” column which appears in our local newspaper, Yuma Sun (archived articles are found at desertgardener/yumasun.com).
