My name is Kit and I am currently writing a preteen biography on a historical person, Mary Walker. I have other books in the works but this is my focus now. Mary Walker was one of the first five women to cross what would become the United States. She kept a detailed diary and I also use her diary to encourage young people to start one of their own. I also give historic presentations of Mary Walker and other women from our area.
I am active in our local hisorical sociey, with my 17 granchildren who live within 50 miles of me, and do gardening, cross-country skiing, hikeing and swimming
