1. What Is Success????

The first answers that come to mind are: money and financial independence, power, recognition, and a feeling of pride in our accomplishments. This is what drives us and often dominates our life. And this is also how society measures our success, which is why so many people enjoy being in the public eye.

Success is not the key to happiness.
Happiness is the key to success.
If you love what you are doing you will be successful.
- Herman Cain

There are as many definitions of success as there are people on this planet. If you are an athlete, your goal is to perform better than your competition. If you are a musician, your ambition may be to record a number-one hit. And if your passion is business, your goal may be to reach the very top of your industry.

But success is more than that. The two sides to success are inextricably linked: the material side and the personal side. Real success is possible only when these two sides are in balance. The way we conduct our business, how we interact with others, how we use our time, how we deal with negativity, and how we think of ourselves ? all these have an effect on our success.

Think of the Golden Rule, a basic human principle that says: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” I don’t want to sound preachy, but living by this principle is the down-to-earth secret of real success.

How do you define your success?

2. The Power of Questions

Two monks, both heavy smokers, were unable to stop smoking during prayers. To solve this dilemma, they each wrote a letter to the Pope and asked for his ruling.

Three weeks later they found, to their surprise, that the Pope had given only one of them permission to smoke. On comparing their letters, they found the explanation. The first monk had asked, “May I smoke during prayers?” and the answer was, “No.” The second monk, however, had framed his question differently: “May I pray while I am smoking?”

Successful people ask better questions,
and as a result, they get better answers.
- Tony Robbins

The ability to ask the right questions is the “black belt” in the art of negotiations. Knowing how to ask questions is a powerful tool not only in business negotiations but also in our personal life. Questions can build a bridge between people and form a basis for dialogue.

But it only works if the question is carefully worded. Like any tool, if it is used improperly it can backfire. Suppose you meet a friend who is dealing with a personal crisis. Asking him, “What is your problem?” won’t help much. But if you ask him, “Would you like to talk about your problem? I am a good

listener,” this will open the gate and allow him to speak and get relief.

Whenever you need to ask a question, learn from the monk.

3. The Bahrain Grand Prix

The Grand Prix has seen itself rise to a lot of controversy for the past few days. The political chaos in Bahrain ,from mid Feb all through March and even a bit of April, a part of the rising protests all over the Middle East had become a serious issue for Bahrain to an extent that the Bahrain Opening Race was cancelled and foreign forces had to be brought in to control the situation. Naturally, quite a few people were apprehensive about the Bahrain Grand Prix-whether it should be rescheduled or not.

As a resident of Bahrain, I have had a first hand experience of it all and can proudly say that Bahrain is ready for its Grand Prix!! Well, thanks to a well appreciated effort by the kingdom’s favorite newspaper “The Gulf Daily News”, a petition was made to bring the Grand Prix back to Bahrain. It was handed over to F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone earlier this month.
After a discussion in the FIA, Voila!! F1 IS BACK TO BAHRAIN!!!

This was much awaited news for not only the fans here in Bahrain, but for all Bahrain residents. Coming to think of it, Bahrain is incomplete without the sound of powerful F1 engines rushing around the Bahrain International Circuit at least once a year! Whats more, Bahrain will be hosting the F1 season starter 2012!!

How to detect a HIDDEN CAMERA in trial rooms………

In front of the trial room take your mobile and make sure that mobile
can make calls……. .
Then enter into the trial room, take your mobile and make a call…..
If u can’t make a call……!! !!
There is a hidden camera……

This is due to the interference of fibre optic cable during the signal
transfer…. ..

**HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR? When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror I.e., they can see you, but you can’t see them. There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms or bathroom or bedrooms. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of Mirror we are looking at? CONDUCT THIS SIMPLE TEST: Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror. However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR! (There may be someone seeing you from the other side). So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the “fingernail test.” It doesn’t cost you anything. It is simple to do. This is a really good thing to do. The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass. Whereas with a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind! Make sure and check every time you enter in hotel rooms.

The protesters march

Posted on » Saturday, March 19, 2011

The protesters march

On the land of two seas

They want someone to

Listen to their pleas;

They march to Riffa

They march to Pearl “Square”,

They walk forth

Without a care;

They walk with flags

They walk with knives,

Not caring that they

Are disrupting lives;

They march to BFH

To set up their camps,

But do they know how

Many businesses they damp?

They say they don’t

Want discrimination,

But don’t they realise

They are destroying the nation;

Do they not realise the

Only way forward is dialogue,

Without which our future

Is as bleak as fog.

Through all these protests

What do they gain?

Anything but

A peaceful Bahrain!
