4. Heads Up!

Two pieces for my agency's annual 'Heads Up' project. For this project, we're encouraged to work on pieces that showcase subject matter we don't usually get to work with. Had such fun working on these :)

I've had a couple of very intense months work wise so it was nice to take a step back and make some portfolio pieces.

I recently signed up for Lilla Rogers Make Art That Sells (MATS) bootcamp and am cooking up coo coo clocks with my fellow campers this week. I'll try to post what I'm working on as we go along! Excited to loosen up a bit.

Some new 'Save the Date' designs for the etsy shop. Working on full wedding invitation sets for a few people but will eventually make some full sets for the shop.

15. Pugs and Puddin'

I am back from a long week off visiting family in Ohio! I still haven't caught up completely with most of the work I left behind but it was a welcome break. Now to gear up for the new season!

Here is another collaborative piece I just finished working on with Sharpshirter!

16. Elephants and Espresso

Another collaborative piece with Sharpshirter.com! Elephants and espresso. Some experimenting this time with having the animals interacting with the food pieces. This will be available as a sweatshirt in the next month or so.

Pandas and popsicles should be available next week on their site!

Hope everyone had a lovely thanksgiving holiday. I've just finished the marathon of Christmas cards.

19. Diggers!

A fun piece for my agency's annual 'Heads-Up' project. We were supposed to create a piece with a subject matter we don't usually work with. Little critters, vehicles and diggers it is! Needless to say, it will now be a subject I avoid.

21. New website!

I've had an indexhibit site for a few years now and have always wanted a clean, colorful and fun website. After playing around with a few different hosting/website creation sites I ended up going with squarespace. I haven't finished playing with it yet but I love it!

The format really seems to suit the more simplistic style I've been working on for the last few months.

23. 'Gifts of Power' exhibition at Chartwell

I was recently approached by the Events Officer of Chartwell House, under the care of the National Trust, to do a series of paintings for their upcoming winter exhibit 'Gifts of Power'. As Chartwell was Winston Churchill's family home, I was of course more than delighted. The paintings feature Rufus I and II (Churchill's miniature poodle I featured in my book 'War Dogs') as well as Jock the cat, who 'still' resides at Chartwell.

More Rufus

Jock himself:

You can see these paintings as well as other features (and perhaps even Jock the Cat) at the 'Gifts of Power' exhibit at the Chartwell Estate this winter. This project was a major thrill! I'll hopefully be able to post photos of the exhibit itself sometime soon.

Many thanks to Emily Christmas for approaching me with this project and to Zoe Roberts for taking over.
