Poor little blog. I just looked at the last entry date which was at the end of December. Seriously, how did that happen? Well I have been oh, so busy! Today is a very snowy day and I am unable to get to my one of my client's on-site. The kids are home from school which was a surprise. We NEVER get snow days in my town so you knows it's bad out there when the schools close. I think last year it was in the mid 70's at this time. Ohhh, I need my spring!!
So I have been so busy as I said... I am finishing up a number of books which I am sooo excited to see the finished pieces. I still get so surprised at how long some things take in my creative world of executing the illustrations. I can't seem to move any faster that I do!
Here's another little sneak peek of one of the illustrations.

So I have spent the last year working on numerous illustration projects that I can't quite talk about yet but I am excited to give you a sneak peek into one of them... illustrating digital books! I have two digital books coming out and am very excited to at least show you a little peek. Let me know what you think..
I know I haven't written forever in my blog however it is always on my mind! I just get so busy and I keep putting my blogging off which is actually funny because I love, love, love writing in my blog. Time just gets away from me so once again, I vow to renew my commitment to my little blog.
I have worked on so many projects over this last year and although I can't yet show anything as the work is done in my ball court (on some of the projects) however still not available to the world. However, I can tell you I am working on several books, with several room decor companies and well as a children's party favor company. Oh, and I have been working for a wonderful caffeinated company designing for their products. Life is never short of things to do, that is for sure.
I am so lucky that I get to do what I love everyday. I do run out of sleep though, especially if I start working later in the evening... then I am full of creative energy and time seems to go by unnoticed. I am off to bed now (maybe)!
I just wanted to show some pictures I had taken for Starry Night, Hold Me Tight Book. I had bookmarks designed to go with the book as well. If you have ordered a book and would like a free bookmark (while supplies last), feel free to email me with your address and I can ship one out to you.
I don't know if you have seen my latest book, ABC Now You See Me but here are some pictures. Running Press Kids did an AMAZING job designing this. I am so thankful for all their hard work and for the hard work of my agent, Jean!
And of course I needed to match the alphabet cards with number cards. Aren't they cute and vibrant??
Thought I would share some of my flashcards that I created a while ago. I LOVE these cards!
It had been so long since I blogged that I forgot to mention my new line of illustrations called Baby Angel Collection by Kim Siebold Studios. I can't believe I forgot to do that!! Check them out on my Etsy store.
Just sharing these cute little guys!! I can't get enough of finding new ways to use them so what better than to put them all in one place together. If you are interested in purchasing the print, go to my esty store.
I thought I would share some more illustrations that I have done and am using on my Tear Sheets for editorial design/illustration assignments.
I am a little embarrassed as I haven't posted in soooo long! But hey, I have been busy!! I am working on several projects, and books and books. I wanted to post some images of my ABC Now You See Me book that was release early spring by Running Press Kids. Here are some of the interior spreads. I love this book!!
I am happy to announce that I am now a member of http://www.childrensillustrators.com/kimsiebold! I had been wanting to join this online source for children illustrators for sometime now. I use it quite often myself to check out the awesome artwork of other illustrators and read interviews from the industry. Check out my portfolio here!
It is now December and we barely have enough snow on the ground to even call it snow! Although I am a summer kind of gal... I am looking forward to my new cross country skis once we get enough snow. A little illustration of the fun to come!
Check out this cute owl pillow who is the winner of EtsyKids's November challenge! Congrats tzburps!
Working on more projects... of course! Here is my numbers series. I wanted to create something very vibrant with alot of detail and patterns. My family might faint if they heard me say I like vibrant colors! If you knew me and my style of clothing, I tend to be very neutral with a lot of black and grey. Did you grey is my favorite color? ha.
