1. the surrendered release day!

Release day is here! THE SURRENDERED by Case Maynard hits shelves today. You can find out all about this YA dystopian and Vee’s fight against the #taxonkids by following the links below to your preferred retailer. Don’t forget to come celebrate tonight on Facebook, where Case and some other amazing authors will be raffling some awesome prizes.

about the book:

After a financial collapse devastates the United States, the new government imposes a tax on the nation’s most valuable resource—the children.

Surrendered at age ten—after her parents could no longer afford her exorbitant fees—Vee Delancourt has spent six hard years at the Mills, alongside her twin, Oliver. With just a year to freedom, they do what they can to stay off the Master’s radar. But when Vee discovers unspeakable things happening to the younger girls in service, she has no choice but to take a stand—a decision that lands her on the run and outside the fence for the first time since the System robbed her of her liberty.

Vee knows the Master will stop at nothing to prove he holds ultimate authority over the Surrendered. But when he makes a threat that goes beyond what even she considers possible, she accepts the aid of an unlikely group of allies. Problem is, with opposing factions gunning for the one thing that might save them all, Vee must find a way to turn oppression and desperation into hope and determination—or risk failing all the children and the brother she left behind.

Now available!

3. The Carver Release Day Teaser Three

The #roadtripwithpeterpan has begun! THE CARVER is a young adult fairy tale retelling that takes you on a road trip with an adult Peter Pan and the children of some of your favorite fairy tale characters. Together, they must find out what happened to their missing family members as secrets of the old world and new are revealed, with only Pinocchio's carvings to guide the way. You can get your copy of THE CARVER by Jacob Devlin on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

about the book:

THE GIRL IN THE RED HOOD has been looking for her mother for six months, searching from the depths of New York’s subways to the heights of its skyscrapers . . .

THE PRINCE looks like he’s from another time entirely, or maybe he’s just too good at his job at Ye Old Renaissance Faire . . .

THE ACTRESS is lighting up Hollywood Boulevard with her spellbinding and strikingly convincing portrayal of a famous fairy. Her name may be big, but her secrets barely fit in one world . . .

Fifteen-year-old Crescenzo never would have believed his father’s carvings were anything more than “stupid toys.” All he knows is a boring life in an ordinary Virginia suburb, from which his mother and his best friend have been missing for years. When his father disappears next, all Crescenzo has left is his goofy neighbor, Pietro, who believes he’s really Peter Pan and that Crescenzo is the son of Pinocchio. What’s more: Pietro insists that they can find their loved ones by looking to the strange collection of wooden figurines Crescenzo’s father left behind.

With Pietro’s help, Crescenzo sets off on an adventure to unite the real life counterparts to his figurines. It’s enough of a shock that they’re actually real, but the night he meets the Girl in the Red Hood, dark truths burst from the past. Suddenly, Crescenzo is tangled in a nightmare where magic mirrors and evil queens rule, and where everyone he loves is running out of time.

Gretel toddled over to Peter and sat by him on the diamond. “Sorry, friend. I don’t think you’re bad in fluents.”

“But she does. And now she’s not my friend anymore, and I’m sad.”

“Don’t be sad. My brother and I are still your friends. And Pinocchio. And Alice. We don’t think you’re scruffians.”

Alice nodded in agreement.

“Thanks. But I’m still sad. When I think about Wendy, I feel her in here.” Peter pounded his chest. “It’s kind of like my heart starts crying.”

“You were in love!” Hansel sang. A big smile spread across his face. “You fancied her. And guess what? The pretty girl who always picks flowers by the meadow? I think she fancies me.”

When Peter’s posture wilted, Gretel punched her brother in the shoulder, and his smile quickly receded.

“I mean, I’m sorry, Peter. Someday we’ll find girls who feel us in their hearts, too. I know it.”

about the author:

When Jacob Devlin was four years old, he would lounge around in Batman pajamas and make semi-autobiographical picture books about an adventurous python named Jake the Snake. Eventually, he traded his favorite blue crayon for a black pen, and he never put it down. When not reading or writing, Jacob loves practicing his Italian, watching stand-up comedy, going deaf at rock concerts, and geeking out at comic book conventions. He does most of these things in southern Arizona.

Pino scowled over his mug, then let his mouth curve into a smile. The old Pietro was coming back to the surface. “Anyway, you’ll go? Look for my wife and your family?”

With a sigh, Pietro rubbed his face so hard his eyelids drooped. “Would you come with me?”

Pino wiggled his thumb: click, click, click, click. “Do you not hear my joints crackling?”

“Still?” Pietro rested his elbows on his knees. “What’s happening to you?”

Pino lowered his voice. “My guess is there’s some real dark stuff goin’ on back home. After all, we’re not supposed to be here, and I was once a . . . Well, you know. I’m afraid I won’t get very far out the door, if I can even move anymore in a week.”

Pietro drummed on his lap, shooting air through his teeth as he contemplated. “Fine. I’ll go. But I have a question. When do we tell Crescenzo who we really are?”

“I trust you’ll figure it out, Peter.” Pino winked. “After all, you were the boy who learned how to fly.”

“Welcome to Sirenetta’s Diner, gentlemen. You boys ever dined here before?”

Liam cut right to the chase. “Are you Mr. Bellamy?”

The man’s face fell into a tight frown, but Crescenzo assumed by the figurine that the frown was just his natural expression. “I am he. The Lord of the Diner.”

“Violet sent us,” Crescenzo said.

“Mm. You mean Heather, yes?”

“Sure?” Crescenzo was still trying to figure out the rule on what he should be calling the Old World people. He supposed Pietro would forever be Pietro to him and he understood why he needed the new name, but he didn’t feel that somebody like Violet, who wasn’t a part of any story Crescenzo had heard before, needed an alias.

Mr. Bellamy plopped two brunch menus in front of Liam and Crescenzo and poured them each a cup of coffee, to Crescenzo’s dismay. Then the old man leaned over the counter and furrowed his eyebrows. In a tense whisper, he said, “Your presence brings ruin to my happy New World life! Where you go, trouble will surely follow. Now, what can I serve you this morning?”

When not reading or writing, Jacob loves practicing his Italian, watching stand-up comedy, going deaf at rock concerts, and geeking out at comic book conventions. He does most of these things in southern Arizona.

11. The Carver: Teaser 8

Welcome to Ten Weeks of Teasers for the YA Fantasy THE CARVER by Jacob Devlin! We're counting down the days before it releases July 19th with a teaser each week. Then we will party all day long on Facebook! Join the party, take part in the blog tour, or just kick back and watch the teasers roll in. Get ready for your #roadtripwithpeterpan!

about the book:

THE GIRL IN THE RED HOOD has been looking for her mother for six months, searching from the depths of New York’s subways to the heights of its skyscrapers . . .

THE PRINCE looks like he’s from another time entirely, or maybe he’s just too good at his job at Ye Old Renaissance Faire . . .

THE ACTRESS is lighting up Hollywood Boulevard with her spellbinding and strikingly convincing portrayal of a famous fairy. Her name may be big, but her secrets barely fit in one world...

13. Cover Reveal! The Surrendered by Case Maynard.

Happy Cover Reveal day! Blaze Publishing has another gorgeous design to share with the world today. We're revealing the cover to THE SURRENDERED by Case Maynard. This YA dystopian will definitely have your pulse pounding as a tax is placed on the financially devastated country's most valuable resource--the children. Join the Facebook Party tonight from 5-11pm EST, and mark your calendars for release day 9/20!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

With over 20 years’ experience in the legal and medical fields, Case Maynard decided to trade in her briefs and reports to write the stories that have been floating around in her head since childhood. She lives with her two teenagers and husband in South Georgia, while maintaining a long-distance liaison with her oldest daughter and partner in crime in Alaska. When not writing, she enjoys reading as often as possible, binge watching anything good on Netflix, and all things NCAA football (Go Noles!). You can learn more about Case and her stories on her website.

18. BECAUSE I LOVE YOU Tour: Tori Rigby's Dream Cast

Blaze Publishing is happy to announce the release of the YA Contemporary Romance BECAUSE I LOVE YOU by Tori Rigby! You can get your copy on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or you can order a signed copy from our website. We'd love for you to help us celebrate at the Facebook party May 17th from 12pm to 11pm EST. As a special treat with the blog tour, we have a guest post from the author to share with you. Tori is here to share her dream cast of BECAUSE I LOVE YOU.

The Cast of BECAUSE I LOVE YOU
One of the fun parts of planning a novel is casting your characters. It’s always something I do right away, because it helps me to visualize my characters when I have a face in mind.

So, here is the cast of BECAUSE I LOVE YOU! Enjoy!

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Sometimes, love is sacrifice.

Eight weeks after sixteen-year-old Andie Hamilton gives her virginity to her best friend, “the stick” says she’s pregnant.

Her friends treat her like she’s carrying the plague, her classmates torture and ridicule her, and the boy she thought loved her doesn’t even care. Afraid to experience the next seven months alone, she turns to her ex-boyfriend, Neil Donaghue, a dark-haired, blue-eyed player. With him, she finds comfort and the support she desperately needs to make the hardest decision of her life: whether or not to keep the baby.

Then a tragic accident leads Andie to discover Neil’s keeping a secret that could dramatically alter their lives, and she's forced to make a choice. But after hearing her son’s heartbeat for the first time, she doesn’t know how she’ll ever be able to let go.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Adopted at three-days-old by a construction worker and a stay at home mom, Tori Rigby grew up with her nose in a book and her fingers on piano keys, always awaiting the day she’d take her own adventure. Now, she goes on multiple journeys through her contemporary and historical romances. She longs to live in the Scottish Highlands, and her favorite place in history is Medieval England—she’d even give up her Internet and running water to go back in time! Tori also writes high-concept genre fiction as Vicki Leigh, and when she isn’t writing, she’s kicking butt in krav maga or attending classes to learn how to catch bad guys.

The past is in his carvings. The future is in his hands.

THE GIRL IN THE RED HOOD has been looking for her mother for six months, searching from the depths of New York’s subways to the heights of its skyscrapers...

THE PRINCE looks like he’s from another time entirely, or maybe he’s just too good at his job at Ye Old Renaissance Faire...

THE ACTRESS is lighting up Hollywood Boulevard with her spellbinding and strikingly convincing portrayal of a famous fairy. Her name may be big, but her secrets barely fit in one world...
