CirQUvHVEAA6DjzAs we told you on Tuesday, DC Entertainment unveiled a brand new logo for all its branding across all platforms. It's more of a "print" type throwback logo, designed by Pentagram, specifically partner Emily Oberman, just in time to give DC a "rebirth" to its older, more hopeful and optimistic self.

36. Everything we know about DC’s totally bizarro updated Hanna Barbera line

flintstones_lgA few months back, DC started its rebirth by announcing they were revamping some classic Hanna Barbera characters for the new millennium. I'll just be honest here and say that I didn't think this was the best of DC's recent revamping efforts–do we really need a gritty Scooby Doo?–but this thing exists, or will soon, and it's going to be pretty funny either way. I believe there have been some artist announcements and more so here's where this is all at.

38. Superman in DC Rebirth: The underoos are still gone

Superman-art-6c69fWhile many remember The Death of Superman story line at DC, I remember the death of Superman’s red trunks in during The New 52 with more anger– it seems as though the publisher is trying to leave behind a key element of the character’s design. Artist Tom Derenick (Batman/Superman) has posted a better look at Jim Lee’s […]

39. Suicide Squad debuts new trailer and Harley Quinn has a hammer in it

This is everything. I’ve never read a Suicide Squad comic that I can recall (although I love Copra) but I will see this film. Whether they had to do any reshoots to add “fun” and “laughs” or not, this is a lively fun, looking trailer. I esp. love the violently colored as campaign for the […]

Batman v Superman was the #1 film for the weekend but “plunged” 68% in its second frame, as the trades like to put it. This is not entirely out of line with some other films, Deadline helpfully points out — Furious 7 dropped 60%, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2  fell 72% — […]
