Also from Asda are a selection of greetings cards which being a bit more trend driven also come under the George brand. A couple of prints on homeware also caught my eye with a very Autumnal patchwork duvet and winter pattern oven gloves.

Today I have some snapshots of the latest Autumn/Winter children's clothes at Sainsbury's. They retail their clothing under the brand TU and for Autumn Sainsbury's have brought us Owls, woodland flora and fauna, and ducks in the rain. For winter there are plenty of bear designs for boys, either camping style, skiing, or in woolly hats. For girls their are Scandinavian style birds. Here are my

I am staying with Marks & Spencer again today with a look at their greetings cards and wrap. New arrivals include there on trend 'Designer Collection' which have diagonal stripe envelopes and fashionable dashed patterns. I've also snapped some stylish designs for new babies, some interesting ways to say get well soon and lots of fab typography.

Today I have some more patterns and placement prints on childrenswear that I couldn't fit into yesterday's Marks & Spencer post. But we begin with a fun series of illustrations on cards and paper goods from M&S's Baby Shower collection. Products in the range include fun invitations (above) and Baby's first year cards (below).

It is a new month here on P&P and we start October with a look at some of the new Autumn prints in Childrenswear that have arrived at Marks & Spencer. My best discovery and favourite store in Bologna, Italy was without doubt Maisons du Monde. This contemporary store felt like a mixture between Heals, West Elm and Ikea. It was packed with patterns on a wide variety of products. So this week I will be bringing you a selection of their products through my snapshots taken in store and web pictures. Next we have some more snapshots of Italian books to post today featuring covers and illustrations that caught my eye in the shops of Bologna. This selection are all children's books and were mostly spotted in Feltrinelli and Libreria Coop.

I have some more snapshots today from my Italian trip. Bologna is a university town, a bit like Oxford only older and larger, so one thing it has plenty of is book shops. I managed to find some interesting cover designs around the city in stores such as Feltrinelli, Zoo, and the Museum of Modern art shop.

One of the brands I researched in Bologna on my Italian trip was Desigual. This very colourful fashion label was founded by Swiss businessman Thomas Meyer in Ibiza in 1984 and now has it's headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. The name Desigual means 'unequal' in Spanish and I believe refers to it's their asymmetrical prints. Their flamboyant designs feature on clothing and accessories for ladies,

I am back from a very lovely hot and sunny Italy where I saw not only the Bowie show but also lots of prints and patterns which I will bring to you over the next few days. We begin with Italian department store Coin where I snapped various ranges in the Kitchen department. All the designs were branded with their own label coincasa.

Paperchase is such a fantastic store to find surface design that I have yet more pics to bring you today. Here you can see a variety of notebooks, diaries, organisers and gifts. These hand painted animals with little geometric elements on notebooks (above & below) are a favourite of mine. Today P&P takes a look at various fashion prints spotted in UK High Street retailer Primark. These patterns and motifs were spotted on everything from flips flops to pajamas and bedlinen. 

Today I am back on the subject of Children's Design with a selection of store snaps from UK department store Debenhams. I scoured the kids dept for summer prints and found lots of tropical birds, fruit and ice cream, and fashionable swans.
