One of the brands I researched in Bologna on my Italian trip was Desigual. This very colourful fashion label was founded by Swiss businessman Thomas Meyer in Ibiza in 1984 and now has it's headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. Last week I reported on what was new at Paris based company Mini Labo for Spring Summer 2016. Today I am looking at some of the products they license and design for their Japanese market. At the online store Belle Maison you can see Mini Labo bedding, cushions, curtains, and even fashions. Here are some of my dave picks which include three new key prints : 50's, bouquet and Herbier.

The company are now in the UK, with a British online shop and retail stores in London, Bromley, Birmingham and Stanstead. If you like your patterns busy and jam packed with motifs then you will love these designs from Melli Mello. The saturated prints featured vivid florals, butterflies, jewels and patterns on a variety of products from bed linen to teacups. Melli Mello was founded in the Netherlands in 2012 by Lobna and Erdem Terzi who run the design studio La Terzi. 

As the Northern hemisphere heads into Autumn things are quite different down under in Australia where they are heading into Summer. So this time of year is perfect for spotting colourful new bedding arrivals at Kas Australia. This weeks Friday eye candy concerns print & pattern in home decor and picks out some of the new Autumn arrivals spotted online. First up is Dunelm who have a mid century modern inspired collection that features geometric shapes in bold colours or monotone textures. As seen online here and also in Dunelm's 150 UK stores.

Our next post on homeware design is a preview of the new Autumn Winter trends at George. Their main themes this season include Tundra inspired by the bare beauty of Canada and the Great Plains. This rustic range features bears, moose, arrows, geometric tribal patterns, and earthy colours. The next trend is Trace - a fresh modern clean lined collection inspired by a retro Stockholm apartment.

Jolie Petite Chose (which translate from French into 'Pretty Little Thing') is an Australian label based Melbourne. They have some beautiful patterned blankets in their current collection featuring stylised rain clouds for boys or girls, gold polka dots, and smart geometric triangles which have a choice of brightly coloured edges. Fashion label Joules have unveiled their new Home and Stationery products for Autumn Winter 2015. Highlights include floral notebooks and new kitchen textiles. Also standing out is stylish new bedding that features a grey base with pops bright of colour print in a collection that mixes bold florals with contemporary stripes. Today I wanted to post a colourful summery print as we experience a heatwave hear in the UK. Prints don't come much bolder and more colourful than those at Marimekko where you will currently find Sitruunapuu, which i believe translates from Finnish as Citrus. I came across the Goosebumps brand at online store Howkapow and wanted to find out a bit more. Founded in Australia in 2014 Goosebumps was created by Inga Rodd, a Melbourne based designer.
