1. The Hardy Boys will become a video game

The Hardy Boys series is going to be converted into a PC game–The Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft. It will be created by JoWooD and DreamCatcher Games, in conjunction with Resnick Interactive Development, and will be available this fall. For more information about The Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft, visit dreamcatchergames.com.

I wonder if that will encourage any children to turn to a Hardy Boys book and read it? Or if any readers of the Hardy Boys will turn to the video. What do you think? Do video games based on children’s books encourage reading at all?

Thanks to Cynopsis Kids for the info.
