There's a flock of ravens in the Northeast that are referred to as the "Kimono Corvids."
Their taste for fine silks has been passed down through many generations.
No one knows who their seamstress is. We all know ravens know how to use tools, but needle and thread?
The mystery remains.
My chosen definition for Propagate is: To transmit (characteristics) from one generation to another.
Acrylic paint and colored pencil on patterned paper
I just love your Kimonoed (is that a word?) Ravens. A very skilled seamstress must have made this kimono. Perhaps an army of fairies.
You are just too much! This is such fun and so well done too!
Wow.
Ah, I love everything about this illustration and the explanation. Wonderful!
Oh I love ravens...they are very clever with tools, needle and thread, why not?! Love your use of patterns and the colors are wonderful! Thanks for all your info - I wish the blog comments would straighten themselves out!
