Marvel Entertainment has unleashed the international trailer for Captain America: Civil War. The video embedded above offers glimpses of Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. reprising their roles as Captain America and Iron Man.
According to TIME, the new trailer “focuses more on the politics and Rogers’ disagreements with Secretary Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).” The Russo Brothers served as the co-directors for this film adaptation.
Variety reports that the theatrical release date has been set for May 06, 2016. Click here to watch the first trailer. (via Entertainment Weekly)

Marvel Entertainment has unleashed the first trailer for the Captain America: Civil War.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the plot “was inspired by the seven-part storyline written by Mark Millar in 2006-07 which pitted heroes against heroes in a crossover event that had the entire world of characters choosing up sides behind either Captain America or Iron Man. That happens in this movie, too, with veteran characters Black Widow, Falcon, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Scarlet Witch, among others, taking up arms against each other.”

Have you ever envisioned a Black Widow movie? Scarlett Johansson, the actress who has played this character in several Marvel movies, teamed up with the Saturday Night Live cast to explore this project idea.
The video embedded above features the hilarious spoof trailer for a fake film called Black Widow: Age of Me. Marvel Entertainment has many projects in the pipeline, but unfortunately none of them focus solely on the deadly female assassin Natasha Romanova.

Scarlett Johansson has occasionally dabbled in music, be it in a fun little karaoke scene in Lost In Translation (one of my top ten favorite movies of all time), or putting out an album of Tom Waits covers.
In between having a child and filming a ton of great movies, Johansson found the time to start a “Girl Group” called The Singles, that includes Este Haim, Julia Haltigan, Kendra Morris, and Holly Miranda. Their first song, “Candy”, which you can hear over at Vice, was produced by TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek.
There’s some serious 80’s Synth-Pop influence there, and a danceable beat. Fun!
“I’m going to tear you apart from the inside.”
Is it possible that Ultron is the first truly worthwhile “dyed in the wool” bad guy that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had since Loki? He’s striking a menacing enough presence in this new Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer that I’m hoping the end of toothless, dull villains like Ronan the Accuser and Malekith is nigh.
There’s quite a bit to absorb here, but watching scenes of Captain America and Ultron fight hand to hand, and Hulk and Iron Man in a massive brawl…it’s rather exhilarating stuff. I didn’t think it possible, but Marvel may actually be able to top their recent high-point in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy. Here’s hoping!
It’s fun to be excited about things!
Here’s the official synopsis:
When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1st.
After months of speculation, Scarlett Johansson has been confirmed as the star of DreamWorks's live-action adaptation of Masamune Shirow's manga "Ghost in the Shell."

George R.R. Martin has made it onto the 2014 edition of Barbara Walters’ “10 Most Fascinating People.”
Martin earned his place on Walters’ list due to the great popularity of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series and the Game of Thrones TV adaptation; both projects have made a serious mark in pop culture history.
The nine other people alongside Martin include Oprah Winfrey, Elon Musk, Chelsea Handler, Neil Patrick Harris, Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Swift, Michael Strahan, David Koch, and Amal Clooney. (via The Huffington Post)

Usher headlined the “Bigger Than Words” webcast at Scholastic headquarters. The Grammy Award-winning recording artist (pictured, via) took part to support the “Open a World of Possible” literacy initiative.
During the event, one kid in the audience asked Usher who he would recruit for a book club. The entertainer named actor Morgan Freeman, actress Scarlett Johansson, media mogul Oprah Winfrey, and cartoon superstar SpongeBob SquarePants.
Usher later sat for an interview with Vulture and confessed that he forgot to mention that he also wants Sean Connery to be a member of his book club. Follow this link to watch a full replay of the webcast.

Margaret Stohl will write a young adult novel starring the Black Widow.
The announcement was made during the “Woman of Marvel” panel at New York Comic Con. The book is slated for release in 2015.
According to ComicsBeat.com, Stohl feels that this project “is the badassiest thing I’ve ever been asked to work on in my life. Black Widow is the very best hot mess I know. She kicks ass, she’s more of a Wolverine than a Captain America.”

The first official trailer for Marvel’s The Avengers has arrived. What do you think?
Directed by Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon, the star-studded cast includes Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Chris Evans as Captain America, , Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Chris Hemsworth as Thor.
The Huffington Post talked to Evans about the film. He explained: “It’s not easy trying to bring all those characters together and find a story, but the best thing about Joss is that Joss is a fan, Joss is a comic book guy … the people I am trying to please is Joss. Joss is one of those dudes. And if Joss is happy with the dialog, if Joss is happy with the wardrobe, if Joss is happy, then I’m happy. Because he’s Comic-Con, he’s one of these dudes who would be in the audience geeking out, so if he’s happy, I’m happy.”

either PR people are getting sloppy and it’s written to be translated into as many languages as possible.
or both.
As I mentioned back in October, when Marvel screened both trailers for retailers…

“Then we watched the Avengers trailer, as the boys try to lift Thor’s hammer. Ultron crashes the party, Manhattan becomes Metropolis, Tony fights the Hulk a la World War Hulk, and Stark Industry lawyers commit hari kari in anticipation of the the $1 Trillion class action lawsuit soon to be filed. (Okay, I made up that last part. But after the Battle of Midtown, with an estimated $160 Billion in damages, Tony might want to build his next mansion on Deimos.)”
This time, I DO expect Damage Control to appear. possibly in the credit cookies. And then be spun off into a TV series.
